Customized Market Mail Now Available
Support for USPS® Customized MarketMail® shipments was released this week in an interim update for BCC's Mail Manager™ and Mail Manager Full Service™ software.
BCC's Customized Market Mail feature is integrated with all Mail Manager Full Service installations, and available as a premium option for Mail Manager users. This new feature allows easy processing of jobs containing non-traditional pieces—die-cuts, non-rectangular shapes, dimensional pieces, and more—and prepares the postal documents necessary for USPS® postage discounts reserved for that subclass.
Mail Manager Full Service users can access the new Customized Market Mail feature by downloading the interim update available in the Customer Portal. To add the Customized Market Mail option to your Mail Manager solutions set, contact your BCC Account Executive (below) today.
New Job Manager Enhancements
Mail Manager Full Service users taking advantage of the integrated Job Manager automation functionality, now have even more reasons to use the built-in feature. The following Job Manager enhancements were released this week in the Mail Manager Full Service interim update (available in the Customer Portal):
- "E-mail on unhandled file" Check Box - Added to the Watch Folders tab in the Job Manager Preferences dialog. Automatically sends users an e-mail when any file is moved into the Unhandled folder.
- Variable Job Settings Report – New report contains the complete job script (including variable settings) for analysis and troubleshooting. Users can click a "Write report to" checkbox on the File Configuration dialog to select a location for the report.
- Mail.dat Variable Job Setting - "SETTINGS" command gives users the ability to load a previously saved Mail.dat (.mds) settings file.
- Track N Trace Variable Job Setting - Allows users to update Track N Trace® values.
- "Use input file in job name" Check Box – Added to the Temporary Job Files section of the Mail Manager tab in the Preferences dialog. If a temporary job file is created, the full file path length may not exceed 260 characters, so the {inputfilename} and/or {jobname} may be truncated if necessary (the {timestamp} is always preserved). If the filename is truncated, this enhancement allows users to include the {inputfilename} and/or {jobname} in the temporary job name, which is noted in the job log, for easier matching of temporary job files with what was run.
- File Configuration Dialog Option – Moves a file from the ‘Watch’ folder to a ‘Completed’ folder when the job is complete.
- "Apply to all" Check Box - Added to the FILENAME override on the Variable Job Settings dialog. Allows users to change a value for the override, and apply it to all specified tasks within the current job to be updated with the new value. For example, checking the box for the CONTAINERTAGS task would apply the override to all CONTAINTERTAGS tasks within that job. (This feature does not apply to the NEWLISTTEMPLATE and SUBLIST commands.)
For assistance using the new Job Manager enhancements, contact Customer Support at (866) 326-0108, or to upgrade to Mail Manager Full Service and add these Job Manager automation features plus many more, call your BCC Account Executive today.
